Vim overview

Vim is an excellent text editor that has been designed specifically with programmers in mind and is based on the popular Unix Vi editor.

This remake, also available for Windows, stands out mainly thanks to its capacity to work on the same task in different modes: command mode, Ex mode, insertion mode, visual mode, etc.

As we mentioned before, Vim is a tool that makes things easier for programmers as it includes several interesting options, such as the capacity to locate compilation errors, show them on a separate window and then guide us back to where they are located so we can correct them. Once this is done, Vim goes back to looking for mistakes until the text is fully revised and corrected.

Among its features are a spellcheck, the ability of grouping files in tabs, command auto-complete, file words and names, executed commands history, and an optional graphic interface.
