VideoBreakout allows you to view Web-based videos in VLC Media Player rather than in a browser. It installs a Safari plug-in which adds a button to your toolbar. Just click it, and the video will open in VLC. This allows for higher quality, greater convenience, and a wide range of playback options, such as filters, variable playback speed, etc.
