Updated screens for the iOS 7 changes, plus added ability to use the camera to scan the employee number instead of just picking from a list. There is now a new menu option on the front screen for you to select Text or Camera as a input method, and if you are set up for text you will get the picker view and alert box to enter in employee numbers on the Employee Maintenance Table and on the Time clock (that did not change).However, if you want to scan the numbers from a bar code you will select the Camera option, then on Time Clock and Employee Maintenance Table you will be presented with a camera view to scan a bar code. All the same validation occurs for both Text and Camera, and I tested the scanner on both barcodes from my computer screen, and on actual bar codes printed on products.It does take a little bit to get the hang of pointing the scanner and capturing the bar coding and there does have to be good lighting with no glare, but I was successful with scanning both 1-d and 2-d labels.
