Plex Media Server is a comprehensive multimedia player whose main appeal is that with it you can watch movies and series remotely from any device. All you have to do is install Plex Media Server on the device where the file is located.

Once installed, Plex will run in the background, letting you manage all your folders and share them with other devices that also have Plex installed – whether it's Windows, Mac, Linux, or even Android smartphones, Chromecast, or consoles like Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and its successors. All that matters is that you have Plex installed.

The server lets you open a local administration page from the browser where you can sync all your content. You just have to register your account so you can sync your library everywhere you have Plex.
