Mozart 2 Pro is a fantastic game that can help anybody improve their music reading skills. When a new session begins notes start streaming from the right side of the screen. These notes have to be named in the order of their appearance with the current input instrument (i.e., piano). If a note gets too close to the clef on the left side of the screen it disappears in a cloud of vapor and you lose a life. The further the game progresses the more notes appear and their range will widen to potentially include many ledger lines above and below the staff. Once you deplete all your lives the game is over.
Mozart 2 Pro is a complete rewrite of the venerable Mozart game and offers tons of new features and improvements. The biggest change is in the game logic itself with the addition of half and quarter notes which are introduced in realistic time-based subdivisions. And ranges are now announced in music notation at the beginning of each new round and reflected in the instrument’s scale highlights. Using the piano instrument for example you will see level 1 announced as ranging from middle C to G4 in music notation with 5 gum drops on the keyboard indicating where those notes are.
