Bangla-onkur is a phonetic Input Method developed for Bangla language. Bangla-onkur will enable you to type Bangla phonetically.

This package contains the Input Method and the a Ekushey Lohit Bangla font.

After installation you will be able to enable Bangla-onkur from the 'Language & Text' System Preference in Mac OS X 10.6 or above and 'International' System Preference in Leopard. This will enable system wide use of Bangla-onkur.

Bangla-onkur is the first step to the introduction of Bangla phonetic typing system in Mac platform. Bangla-onkur tries to follow the correct pronunciation of Bangla words in English alphabets. As a result, it is very easy and intuitive to use.
